Terms and conditions.

Onca Vega Press gives visibility to the books published under the imprint and to those of independent authors in its community, and connects writers with editorial services.

You agree to use it lawfully, without disrupting its operation or infringing the rights of Onca Vega, the authors or third parties, and in accordance with the laws of the United Mexican States.

There is no public sign-up: every account starts with an invitation from the editorial team, either because a book is part of the imprint or because an independent author's work was accepted into the community.

You can sign in with email and password or with your Google account. By creating your account you accept the Privacy Policy and these Terms and Conditions, and you declare that you are at least 18 years old or of legal age in your jurisdiction.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for your account's activity. Onca Vega may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms and Conditions.

The texts, covers, biographies, excerpts and images an author publishes on the Platform belong to that author and are protected by Mexico's Federal Copyright Law. Publishing on the Platform does not transfer their ownership to Onca Vega.

By publishing, the author authorizes Onca Vega to display that content on the Platform and to share it to promote the work, for as long as it remains published. The author declares that they hold the necessary rights over what they publish.

The design, code, logos, 3D artifacts and other elements of the Platform belong to Onca Vega. Onca Vega® is a trademark registered with the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property.

Without prior written authorization, it is forbidden to:

• Copy, reproduce, distribute or modify the content of the Platform or of its authors.
• Extract content by automated means (scraping).
• Use the Platform's content to train or feed artificial intelligence systems.

The works' buy links lead to external stores. Some of them (currently, only Buscalibre's) include the imprint's affiliate identifier and are marked as sponsored links; if you buy through them, Onca Vega may earn a commission at no extra cost to you or to the author.

Affiliate income is used to maintain the Platform. Every buy link goes through an automatic check that confirms it points to a safe destination before it is saved.

The Platform links to or integrates third-party services, such as bookstores, authors' social networks, WhatsApp and Google. Onca Vega does not control their content or practices, and their use is governed by each provider's terms and policies.

Onca Vega strives to keep the Platform's information accurate and available, but the Platform is provided as is, with no guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Onca Vega shall not be liable for damages arising from the Platform's unavailability, errors in its content, content published by authors or your use of the published information, except where the law does not allow such liability to be excluded.

Sending an editorial services or community application form does not create a contractual relationship nor an obligation to provide any service; any collaboration is agreed separately.

The Platform uses necessary cookies (including your account session) and, only with your consent and only on public pages, analytics cookies. See the details and how to change your choice in the “Cookies and tracking technologies” section of the Privacy Policy.

The processing of your personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms and Conditions.

Onca Vega may modify these Terms and Conditions. Changes will be published on this page, updating the version date shown at the top; continuing to use the Platform after an update means you accept it.
