Patricia E. Mata

I am a lawyer and writer from Spain. I balance my legal practice with writing horror, suspense, and dark fantasy stories. I have been a finalist in various literary competitions, including the Ediciones Orcus Doppelgänger International Short Story Contest, where my story Version Aprobada (Approved Version) was included in the anthology La Segunda Sombra (The Second Shadow). I also contributed to the flash fiction anthology Pluma, Tinta y Papel XV (Pen, Ink, and Paper XV) by Diversidad Literaria. Additionally, I was a finalist in the liminal horror contest organized by Nueva Bestia Editorial with my story Salida 23 (Exit 23), which is awaiting publication in an anthology. I am currently working on my first dark fantasy trilogy, La Vigilia de los Mundos (The Vigil of the Worlds), while continuing to develop new stories set in the Umbral (Threshold) universe.
