Manifesto · Onca Vega

What moves us to share stories.

We are an editorial imprint with discernment, built from authenticity by those who write, read, and protect what is created with genuine passion. We publish what demands to be read.

The origin

Onca Vega was born from a practical decision. A book deserves to belong to a brand that gives it a space to be recognized. Our founder went through that, and if his work was to have an imprint, it had to be one that represented its essence. What began as a legal formality grounded in an idea of perseverance became something larger the moment he thought about all the authors going through the same thing without knowing a path exists. If he lived it, someone else is living it now. That is when Onca Vega stopped being a formality and became a project, a growing community.

It was born from a personal need, not an organizational plan.
What we believe

We don't publish genres. We publish literature capable of detonating something inside the reader — that instant when a page forces you to close the book and stare at the ceiling. Cosmic horror, science fiction, supernatural terror, occultism, dark fantasy: genres are the vehicle, not the destination. What defines whether a text belongs to this imprint is its willingness to go deep, to tear the surface of the everyday and extract the essence of what cannot be seen. We don't publish stories that settle for entertaining. We publish stories that leave a mark.

We write what dogma prefers to keep in silence.
The horizon

To be recognized without need for explanation. When someone sees the imprint on a book they will know — not from the words on the back cover, but from a sensation, an alert that rises from within — what kind of worlds they will find inside. A place that always has something to say, that reinvents itself without losing its line. Genre marks the foundations, but does not establish the borders.

Every book is a threshold. Every reader, the one who decides to cross it.
